About this wine
We guess you know by now that we’re a different breed of wine producer. We’re inspired by good stories and influenced by people from all over. 60’s music from Ghana, called Highlife, is something we’ve listened to a lot when we’ve made our wines. The reason? Our fixer/assistant winemaker Paa Kwesi was born and raised in Ghana. Hence the name Akonoba (meaning sweet child in local language Twi) for our new wine, which will be released Feb 1st. Whole bunch Syrah from Saint-Joseph, spontaneously fermented in open top barrels for 14 days, aged 10 months in a neutral barrel. Great aromatics, fresh acidity and massive finish.
